Do you know anything about Christmas? We don't celebrate it on Asgard, but I've been celebrating it with my ex-girlfriend for years.

I know about presents! Tony said a little about Santa at Halloween, but I don't think I really get it.

He's this fat man with beard dressed in all white who brings presents to the good children. The bad children get coal.

Really, it's just parents leaving out presents for their children. He doesn't actually exist, but children believe it for a time.

Well, people are into all kinds of weird things.

There are weirder things to be into, I suppose. A lot of Asgardian culture doesn't make sense to Jane, either.

When we marry, we break into the grave of one of our ancestors to retrieve a sword all Asgardians are buried with, for instance.

When you do this, you enter death as a child and emerge into life again as an adult, reborn, yet the same.

Made more sense when you married young, comparably speaking. I couldn't imagine marrying anyone until I was well over 100.

Not exactly. I have hopes. I just also have a lot of doubts.

I've seen a lot of cracks in a lot of relationships. Some people are lucky or pig stubborn enough to make it work until they die, but that's a hell of a thing to ask of anybody to commit to someone for (if we're talking on my scale) decades when you don't even know who you're going to be in fifty years, let alone who the person you marry is going to be. You need to be compatible, or at least fit okay together, in so many ways.

No. I want. I just don't know if I believe.
