I'm going to try and learn how to make gingerbread before Christmas. I used to decorate them with Jane's nieces and nephews when I was on Earth during the holidays.
Depends on where you are in the world. Mildmay's got completely different answers from me.
My part of the world, we worship a goddess we just call the Lady. She's most closely associated with the sea and mazes and the afterlife. Vax put an alcove to her in the Temple so I could pray.
Holidays... midsummer, midwinter, the arrival of Agramant the Navigator (our country's founder, according to legend), the end of the line of kings, the anniversary of the unification between Corambis and Caloxa (Caloxa's still pissed), new year (spring equinox, I don't get this whatever day in winter business)... I'm sure I'm forgetting something but that's what I got off the top of my head.
Ah. People from Ygres usually know her, but there's a lot of communication between countries there. Mildmay and Felix hadn't heard of her before. Not unless she's related to a goddess they encountered while they were traveling across Kekropia. She doesn't have a name either.
I don't know. Maybe I'm just homesick. I never stopped praying or anything, only I wonder if she can hear me in a world where no one else knows who she is.

I'll drop off some cookies this afternoon as a show of thanks.

Do they have Christmas where you come from?

You said people worship different gods in different places, right? Do they still know the Lady and not worship her, or do they not know her at all?

Only in stories and in our faith. But I never doubted she could hear me.
Not until I was here.

I should get going. I'll drop off some cookies later. Hopefully they come out tasty.
